South Lake subdivision, comprised of two major sections, The Trails and The Preserve, is located in Greenwood, Indiana, directly off Interstate 65 on Worthsville Road. The neighborhood is approximately a 15-20 minute drive to downtown Indianapolis via Interstate 65, and the travel time to the Greenwood retail district (including Greenwood Park Mall) is approximately 10 minutes.
Residents of South Lake enjoy neighborhood amenities such as a community pool and pool house, gazebo, two playgrounds and several ponds. There are also several large grassy common areas throughout the subdivision that residents can use for recreational sports, picnics and other activities.
South Lake is immediately adjacent (to the west) to the Bainbridge community which is comprised of patio homes/duplexes and townhouses. While Bainbridge was developed by the same developer, and the communities are connected, there are no shared community spaces between South Lake and Bainbridge, and the communities are governed by two separate Homeowners’ Associations. The Heritage Trace subdivision is also immediately adjacent (again, to the west) of South Lake, connecting to South Lake via Switchback Drive. Heritage Trace is governed by a separate Homeowners’ Association.
